Most venue staff who deal with AV every day, whether they’re setting up a room, quoting a package, or answering a client’s question on the floor, never received formal training on any of it. They learned by watching, by guessing, or by calling someone who knew more than they did. That works until it doesn’t, and when it doesn’t, it usually happens in front of a client.
